I have had the pleasure of reviewing both of his books - and they are equally outstanding, yet profoundly different pieces of fiction.
Give a Little certainly provokes empathy for each of its characters. It is an emotional roller-coaster ride for the reader, while the family members in the book heal old wounds and the father battles alcoholism.
When the back cover states "Come meet Jaden and Simmeon Randel, two brothers you won’t forget" - they were not exaggerating. These two identical and opposing twins are the main characters in this novel.
One boy is a handsome football star that shares a love of the sport with his father. The other boy is portrayed as a deformed shadow. Both twins are struggling to find out who they are as individuals, and where they wish to take their lives in the future. Both make heroic sacrifices out of love for one another.
Never rivals (except for their father’s love), Simmeon and Jaden depend upon each other for their successes - until they fell for same girl. Events unfold that help these boys to see each other as individuals and as an inseparable entity. Give a Little portrays the deep connection twins feel through deep level psychic connections where they can actually feel when the other is distraught or in pain.
Get this book – you won’t regret it.

One hundred breathless, cozy photos of nature scenes have been included in this book. Attractive scenes of flocks of birds just departing in flight, charming woods, impressive autumn color and astounding sunsets were sufficient to make me a fan of the book.
The photos are companioned with poetical verses, which, regrettably, did not strike a cord in me. Truthfully, I did not even understand many of the verses. Overall, though, it was clear that the writers purpose was to boost openness to adventure, the chance for development and involvement in issues that matter. I actually liked a few statements in particular, "Let your heart be your guide, and the brain a tool" and "It’s always a holiday when you love".
Oluwadahusi is a man who has been juggling many hats for some time - from being a lawyer, author and poet, to the more rewarding endeavors as a teacher and father. He admonishes his readers that "any evident disarray in any of the text, lack of punctuation" was done with the purpose to provoke the reader to complete the blanks for themselves.

Now here’s a treat for dog-lovers! Author of multiple short stories for children, Jarod Twiford, has lately released his first children’s book, Kisho. This plot line is unique and has an closing that readers will not see arriving.
Everyone loves a hero story. But in Kisho, the hero is an animated creature that is not actually animated nor is he an animal! Here we have a young boy who in private enjoys watching animated films. He experiences a magical transmutation into an animated persona from a film and commences an adventure of a lifetime. Imminent tragedy, earthquakes, romance, adventure and discovering true happiness are all a part of the plot line in Kisho.
Jarod Twiford has been publishing for young people for about six years before the release of this book. After intensive research and scrupulous care to detail, he picked the name for the leading character because Kisho means "one who knows his own mind". His profound use of many breeds of canines by all odds lent more power to the characters' personalities.
Though I felt a few areas were a little hurried over by the writer, it for certain uses an interesting and fairly strange theme. This book is certain to entertain and be read multiple times by readers.

The characters are just lucky to be in the right place or maybe lucky. Some parts are similar to James Bond movies. I enjoy the occasional humor Heywood uses throughout Amapola and the strength of female characters. There is also much focus on how friends are important. </p>
<p>The main character is George Maverick, a retired major. He has not been able to forget a Costa Divan girl named Sakai. She won his heart though they were separated for a time. George believed he did right by leaving her but time hadn't helped him her over her. He passes time with an import export business which means he visits Mexico occasionally. His sister's family helps him fill a void since he isn't married. A drug gang kills his brother-in-law and niece which really angers him. George has a chance to get revenge when the government ask his help in fighting drug cartel. He goes on the adventure triggered by anger with hopes of seeing Sakai again. </p>

This work of fiction is in reality an assemblage of 14 short stories – all centering on some sort of letter; the Suicide Note, the Closure Letter, Love Letter, Fan Letter and so on. Yet the book is also a novel, in that each chapter is focused on a specific family and each chapter ties into the next.
The three chief characters are Mark, his wife, Carol and his son Jack. Mark and Carol get together in dire circumstances, fall in love and bring up children who develop into adults with lives of their own. Each major life changing instant is emphasized with an accompanying letter penned by someone in the family.
The author’s wit, passion and admiration of people in her live are evident within the first few pages of The Letter. She arouses issues so subtly that you barely know they are there. For example, is it improper for Jan to sell herself to save her father? I think not. The Letter reinforces that intent is what considering the rights and wrongs of life decisions actually comes down to.
It was both a pleasure and an honor to read The Letter.

Tracie’s Story, by Marguerite Ashton, had absorbed me into the story straight from the beginning, and I had trouble tearing myself away from the book the whole way to the close. This is very a impressing narrative that is based on a real story of a woman brought up by an alcoholic single mother.
As a child, Tracie courageously takes on the barrage of troubles, contempt and responsibilities of dealing with a helplessly intoxicated parent – but it leaves her emotionally marked. While driving under the influence, the careless mother imposes a lasting and open impairment on her child that serves as a never-ending reminder of her past. Every mirror, every pair of eyes reflects her abnormality and this becomes an agony for Tracie. As an adult, she battles with her inner ogres and the mind-numbing dependencies to both alcohol and her work.
Marguerite Ashton applies a direct and simple writing style that enfolds the reader in Tracie’s world so profoundly that the real world fades away for a little while. The conclusion left me with a feeling that the book is not completed. Yet, because I was thinking about it for days, I would have to say the conclusion was rather effective.

It is about drawing options that may not be so painless to make and complicated relationships between co-workers, siblings and friends. I am sure that many readers within the age group between 30 and 40 will find a link with Audrey, the chief character.
Audrey and her sister Ava have a adjoining, close – occasionally tense, other times clownish – relationship. Their mother passed when they were young and now they were about to lose thier father as well. Audrey comes back home for the funeral and meets up with an old flame that helps her come to terms with what is lacking in her life. Office politics were exhausting and career thirsty colleagues were beginning to both gravel and deplete her.
She starts to question her alternatives in life and is presented with suitable alternatives that play tug-of-war with her mind. At long last, tired and emotionally wrought she is presented the chance to choose the path of content happiness. Audrey learns to arrive at a decision established upon her needs, instead of attempting to live up to the out of the question lifestyle society promotes.
Her Backyard unquestionably has a plot line that I believe many women can associate with. Career women have to make many sacrifices and there are times when one enquires if this lifestyle is genuinely full satisfying all their needs. I think Doreen Lewis has written a fine book depicting this enigma.

The primary character is a young boy who is urgently fretting over the class response to his peculiar family. He fears the day the children in his schoolroom are due to introduce their characterizations of their families. Much to his pleasure, he sees his family is not so odd after all. Parents and teachers will for certain find the yoga-loving dad with orange polka-dotted socks is surely to get the giggles rolling. The astonishing illustrations hold attention to the page.
As youth, we are frequently captivated by other family’s doors and what lays on the far side of them. When we find that all the oddities and deviations live in everyone’s family, it makes it easier to accept our families and our place in them. This is an important life skill that would for certain help to ground little people at this age.
Educators and caretakers may find this book valuable in social and family studies.
Children are encouraged to individualize the book on the first page and create a list of their family and their personality traits on the last page – thus making this book more interactive."

The author weaves multiple, potent, leading personas and two entirely different time frames masterfully. Crest of Eagles reminds me of a few of the distinguished works of Wilbur Smith. This book for certain rates with a few of the best that I have critiqued up to now and I would not hesitate to give Crest of Eagles the greatest ranking available.
Mandhla is taken prisoner by terrorists during an assault of a mission run by Caucasian race with benevolent hearts for children who had no one to turn to. Everyone was unmercifully killed except those who could not be converted into soldiers or harlots.
Peter Kennedy, leader of the top armed forces team, set out to save the children, but in fouling the job, Peter gained the retaliation of one very confused boy. Kuru joins Peter in the war against the terrorists with the desire of saving his brother – never dreaming that when he did meet Mandhla again, it would be as foes.
Ancient tribal religion works its way into present day. The lives of Tcana, a high priestess, and Rebecca, a bombshell journalist, are connected in some rather cosmic mode - though they live centuries apart.
Romance, adventure, suspense, ancient tribal history and contemporary action – this book has it all! Crest of Eagles is destined to be among the most dog-eared fiction books in my collection.

It was written by Charles Dickens in the mid 1800s set in London during the early 1800s. The story focuses on an orphan Pip who is six when the story starts and lives with his sister and brother- in-law . Pip meets many unique characters as he comes of age. He encounters a convict, Abel Magwitch , at the beginning of the story while visiting family graves. Abel wants Pip to help him escape and steal food from his sister. Magwitch is recaptured the next day.
He also meets Miss Havish is wealthy unmarried lady. She wears a wedding dress all the time because she got jilted at the altar. She has an adopted daughter, Estella, whom Pip falls in love with though the girl is bitter. He learns he is to get an inheritance and thinks it is Miss Havusham, but it is Magwitch.Magwitch became wealthy and there is a warrant for his arrest. Pip tries to help Abel escape by boat. Pip discovers the reason for Miss Havisham's odd actions and the real motive for wanting him and Estella together. It is a good read with romance and action.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4303415046359346951.post-70139763146090391232013-06-19T14:43:00.000-07:002013-07-10T23:26:10.256-07:00The lIttle MorningsThe Little Mornings, by C M Albrecht is a murder mystery with 262 utterly engaging pages. We have three primary characters here – the grandfather, an alcoholic of doubtful character, a somewhat off balance woman (Angie) and an susceptible young man (Darcy) who gets mixed up in a whirlwind of issues. Murder, stealing and lies keep the fluctuating relationship between Darcy and Angie on edge. Holding a secret is no easy job, particularly when someone else crops up into the view with inner knowledge to the truth. Darcy, not able to moderate the events, becomes a different individual completely from the one we knew in the first few pages of the book.
Maybe because I am a author, and this book has to do with the publishing industry, I am fond to the theme. Grandfather’s description of a writer’s techniques to achieve their imaginative dreams had me laughing aloud – because it was so true. As were the unsuccessful, aspirant authors and the over worked publishers. I felt the book was very truthful in this respect.
I enjoyed the first few paragraphs – they actually drew me in. I kept hearing Humphry Bogart’s voice in my head telling the tale as I read along. I sat on the edge of an wretched plastic chair 2 days ago and opened the first page to start surveying The Little Mornings. I intended to take only a ten-minute break from my day to relish the sunshine. The next thing I knew, my leg and butt-cheek were both completely numb and empty… and I was on page 50! So be warned, readers, this book may very well take you out of service for a few days. I could not wait to return to it every minute I had to spare!

I adored the feel of the pages as I turned them. I would classify this book as a of value, inspirational, self-help instrument for those looking for for internal serenity. Wayne shares his private experiences while he seeks to come to terms with himself and life as a whole through this esthetic work of art.<br />
Wayne is genuinely a searcher of understanding. I was reminded at times of Joseph Campbell throughout the book, as the two center on related subjects. Wayne shares his journey towards reason that takes him through vigorous studies of occult and myths, journeying into himself and then out once more. He dreams of being able to achieve beyond the self-importance.<br />
<br />
Attractive, attention-demanding monochrome pics are increased by the deep-thinking quotes and the author’s excellent discussions. Each point in his travel is followed by the elegant photographs, and the pics add depth to the text – feeding one another. I discovered that I would read a sentence and then look at the pic; to and fro - each page a slow and appreciated action to relish. Published to prompt others to dig deep into finding out who they are, Wayne asks us (as he asks himself) "Who are you behind those interfering ideas?"<br />
<br />
The question and answer interview at the end of the book was rather helpful in discovering more about the author’s personal side and his individual opinions. He also includes a list of resources to assist the reader interested in advancing their journey."<br />

A Monster Named Criney Who Makes Kids Whiney by Heather Zuckerman can be grouped as an adolescent fiction geared for children aged between three and seven. Mood-setting lustrous color full pages greet the reader upon unfolding the lasting cover. Brilliant employment of rhythmic cadence and cunning design tempts the reader to use sound characterization and boosts interaction with the readers. Because of these traits, this book would work superbly when read out loud to a group of children. <br />
<br />
Whenever Criney stops by a home to rest his weary feet, the children indoors become confused and whine. The story has Criney ‘visit’ many dwellings before an answer is discovered. I believe it will help children recognize how goofy and ineffective their whining and sulking is. The book extends one step further by teaching children an instrument to inhibit those awful feelings and alter their emotions through laughter. Laughter IS the most beneficial medication after all!<br />
Cheerful and warm – this book actually had me smiling! This could be integrated as an excellent tool that uses humor to assist parents, educators and anyone else in fields working with younger children, against the nerve-grating whining and anger that all children experience."<br />

This fiction fantasy has an apparent disposition to aid readers who are starting up their individual spiritual pursuit<br />
. <br />
The primary character, Larry, is experiencing a melt down, of sorts. He determines the most effective remedy is to retreat into nature. The trouble is that along the way, Larry starts to hear the voice of his dog speaking like a guru. Uncertain if he is going entirely mad, he proceeds in shock until he is able to soak up the change in realism. Between Zeus, the speaking dog, and being visited by a diversity of spiritual guides, Larry learns the solutions to his many questions about life, meaning, fate and more. <br />
<br />
One could suppose this is by all odds an unusual plot line! Personally, I determined the book hard to read, as it was a little too deep, occasionally boring and at times the plot line appeared a little nonsensical. I really think it was the authors purpose to include an immense amount of information that may guide spiritual seekers, but it is penned with some features of witticism and zest. Jean-Claude has been on an sweeping journey of his own and factors of many belief systems can be seen throughout the book."<br />

Ransom is busily composing a series of books known as Colla’d Greens and two more books are included in the continuation to Born Evil. <br />
Born Evil is a compact, 150-page book that is published on acid-free paper – which could be of interest to the environmentally aware consumer. I would place this book in the scary horror category, which involves a baby that is born evil. Traumatized by former experiences, only deepens Jonathan’s natural disposition – a brutal want to induce injury. Unready for a troubled child, his adopted parents are continually weltering in thick quarries of intense uncertainty. Rick suspects the truth, but Trish discovers it very difficult to suppose or even admit that little Jonathon is competent of such odious acts. <br />
<br />
I believe the book creates a good point that a few people are plainly born with a want to do harm, with no abusive situation to ascribe these urges to. Readers are also shown how these impulses can easily be promoted through socially acceptable entertainment and through being witness to violent acts. <br />
While reading Born Evil, I experienced a wide array of emotions from anger to sadness and shock. The ending was exceptional and I look forward to J.P. Ransom’s sequel.<br />
